USGolfer.net Dream 9
USGolfer prides itself on knowing its audience. You may be thinking that typically when there is a dream golf series that there is usually a dream 18, but we know you
. We know that you dont want a lot of fluff, you are only going to stick through an article for 9 holes. So we present
. What will hopefully be the first annual USGolfer.net Dream 9. The following mythical course was drawn from our own site. By all means if you disagree with our selections we would love to hear from you. Without further ado.. (what the hec is ado any ways?)
We present the USGolfer.net Dream 9
| Hole 1 |
Hole 17
Par 4, #1 handicap

A typical four letter hole. Very challenging. You can't really see the flag from the tee box and maybe not from your second shot either. There is a nice landing area to shoot from and the green is not the most challenging part of the hole. If there isn't anyone behind you and you are playing this hole for the first time, you might want to drive past the landing point of your first shot before you hit your second. Good luck.

Hole 11
Par 3, #10 handicap

A Par 3 is never and easy. This is the number 10 handicap for the course, but is still only one miss hit from a double bogey. The green is large and has a few rolls in it. If you get off the T alright, you cant get in to too much trouble. This hole is very beautiful as the tall decidious tree border both sides, the fairways is literally carved out of nature. This is typical Michigan golf at its finest. |

Consider staying right on this hole. If you get off the tee you will be fine for a while. If you are the type of person who has random wild hooks or slices, be cautious. Staying online is definitely a key on this hole. A wide expansive fairway leading up to the green will help guide you in. Once you are on the green this hole may be far from over. This is a large beautiful green. |

Hole 10
Par 5, #2 handicap

Hole 10, the longest hole at Oak Lane measuring 556 yards form the whites, is the second most challenging hole at Oak Lane. There is nothing deceiving about the 556 yards measurement, it is really that long. Off the tee, the fairway starts off slightly uphill for the first 200 yards. Most likely, in your second shot you will have to consider how to deal with the water on either side of the fairway. The water on the left is farther away from the fairway, but can still come into play on those bad hooking days, while the water on the right seems to attract balls like mice to cheese. |

| Hole 5 |
Hole 18
Par 4, #1 Handicap
This may be the best finishing hole in the state of Michigan. This dog-leg par-four offers a generous landing area guarded by two bunkers on the left, but with a slope that feeds to the water on the right. The second shot over Hawk Lake to an enormous, two-tiered green requires steely determination. The audience along the clubhouse deck will cheer the best of shots and jeer the worst. Good luck.

| Hole 6 |
Hole 18
Par 4, #3 handicap
A very unique hole for Brookshire. A very unique hole for this area. A very challenging hole for most anyone. Consider using an older ball off the tee if you dont have a lot of confidence in your drive. Unless you get a great shot off the tee you probably shouldnt go for the green on 2 because you will never find your ball. The area just before the green is thick and the approach is elevated. This is a nice way to end the course and there is nice scenery on the way back to the club house.

| Hole 7 |
Hole 6
Par 5, #15 handicap
Hole 6, the second longest Par 5 at Oak Lane measuring 469 yards from the whites, The left side of this hole is out of bounds. The green is reachable in two if the tee shot makes it over the hill midway down the fairway. A bunker on the front left side could discourage many from attempting to put it on in two, but the large green makes using a long wood a viable option as long as you stay off the beach. |
| Hole 8 |
Hole 17
Par 3, #6 Handicap |
Hole 17 is a long par-three guarded by Hawk Lake from tee to green along the right side and behind the green. Shots to the left catch deep bunkers and make for a dicey sand shot to a green that slopes to the water. Grit your teeth and go for it.

| Hole 9 |
Hole 13
Par 4, #11 handicap |
A beautiful hole that will force you to see every hazard you might find on a golf course. Off the tee it is advantageous to stay right. You can go pretty far right and be ok, but even a little to the left and you could be in trouble. The green is well protected but once you're on the dance floor no major problems. |
